Just curious how many other people out there like the RV-7 Delay (the little red box) over the RV7000 (long purple one). I can get such better environments out of the RV-7, and they always fit the mix better... the 7000 has some nice features, but the algorithms themselves seem to be a lot smoother in the Rv-7. Which one do you prefer?

I prefer the RV-7000 for vocals, percussion and ambient stuff, but when it comes to other parts like leads, basses and riffs i prefer RV-7 because it always fits the mix better.
When im mastering my tunes, i use the RV-7000..
So my meanings are splitted.
Too bad i can't vote twice..

But my vote goes to the RV-7000, because of its many features..

The RV-7 does well for dark, thick, warehouse type verbs for me (using it as such in my next track right now). The RV-7000 does well for more intimate spaces and gives me a bit more control.

I do prefer the RV-7000 as my main delay, over the DDL-1.

Re: Reason User Poll

Comparing the RV7 with the RV7000 is like comparing the NN-19 with the NN-XT digital sampler. The RV7 is the less CPU intensive of the two, while the RV7000 is a monster and would rival alot of the standalone reverb VSTis on the market.

Conclusion:
RV7: Good for standard reverbs: percussion, claps etc. You can use alot of them without putting too much strain on the cpu(great for percussion), which is the only reason it's good .

RV7000: Great for TRUE stereo reverb (unlike the RV7) gating effects, eq, offers everything the RV7 does just with more. It shines with vocals and main leads. It can do everything the RV7 can plus ALOT more.
