Go Greyhound. I did that two years ago. They have a terminal that's only about two or three blocks from Bayfront Park, and the tickets aren't too expensive. Will probably run you about $20 from Orlando, possibly more.
The gates open at 11am, and I'm not exactly sure where the closing time stands right now. I heard 2am, but somehow I don't believe that the city will allow that. Past years it's been 1am.
Bring in at least $20 for water. If you're prone to dancing (like I am), you'll blow through it fast, and you need to stay hydrated. They don't allow you to bring any in, so they charge ridiculous rates for a bottle, probably $5 this year, hopefully not more.
I would recommend simply chowing down beforehand and not bothering with the food vendors, as their prices are equally steep.
Not sure about CDs and records, I don't ever recall seeing very many. And there are too many acts to see to bother shopping for stuff even if there is.
