Hey, I am new here...

Hey, I am new to Trance Addict forums and I dont know too much about what people do here, it seemed to be about promotion and composing. I currently compose with Fruity Loops 4 and I am make trance music. I just came out with a new track called Lost in Trance, you can listen to it at www.purevolume.com/djslyfox and feedback would be greatly appreciated. I am willing to give advice/feedback for any songs you have. Thanks. ~DJ Slyfox~ (not really a DJ)

It sounds like this was done is ejay but you said you were using fruity, so here is a tip, listen to some trance tunes learn their basic structure.

In your tune every 16 bars comes a new element that really has nothing to do with the previous one, like you took a bunch of different sounds and melodies and randomly sequenced them in fruity.

Come up with a solid structure, make a build up where different elements support each other and create an harmonic atmosphere.

nice try... kinda reminds of psytrance, but with a Barthezz feel... you have potential... keep producing and you'll make it.

hey, thanks for the tips, I have investigated the structure of other trance tunes, but I apparently didnt imitate them properly... I personally dont like a song to be boring and repetitive so I try to mix it up... any way, thanks

yeah analyzing structures can be a bitch.... a lot of pro trance tracks have a bunch of subtilties that make the track (and without them would break the track)... so you gotta go deeper with it too.
