Wanting to buy some good monitors.......

I am soooo tired of my crappy bookshelf stereo system, and i want to upgrade to a good set of studio monitors and a subwoofer as well. Can anyone recommend a good pair of monitors(powered or not, doesn't matter), a good amp, and a nice subwoofer? Thanks for all you help TA's,

if i where you i would look to my budget, not to the best brands... I was lucky, a friend had to get rid of 2 100w speakers, and on my work was an unused amp... So just search near you, maybe someone has something for you...
