That's happend to me a lot, I just bring a circular piece of wax paper with me, slip it under the slipmat, and problem solved!

yeah wax paper works, sometimes this happens to me when the hole in the record is too tight.....gotta break that sh*t in!

If the hole is ever too big, get a piece(or two if necessary) of masking tape, and tape it over the holes and then punch the hole through with something leaving the tape on. It works pretty good.
