Should the bombing of afghanistan CONTINUE?

Hi everyone, I'd like to get your opinions on something.

I for one, think that enough innocent people have been killed in afghanistan.

I think it is time to stop dropping bombs.

I have outlined my reasons here:

http://www25.brinkster.com/ravinglunatic/default.htm

please read it and let me know what you think.
then go to the poll I have made and vote to show your support.

http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...&threadid=25709

thank you all.

its not as if its widespread bombing anymore.. the northern alliance hold most of the territories of afghanistan now.. so we only need to focus the bombing on the remaining taliban strongholds.. which.. lets face it.. cant contain that many innocent ppl anymore because theyve all legged it. there really havent been that many innocent peeps killed anyway when u compare it to previous bombings in say serbia or in iraq.. i think they have done a very good job this time. they cant just stop it now tho.. cuz if they do its too easy for bin laden to up six and go for it... and it shows that we are giving up. we will have him soon, then and only then can the bombing stop...

thats my opinion

Man the Taliban are getting off pretty lightly ... they've made their position pretty clear, they are either directly in league with Osama or else they're pretty determined to look after him, either way they're giving a colossal finger to the rest of the world. As far as I'm concerned the coalition is entirely justified in hammering flat as many Taliban military targets as they can see.

As far as civilian casualties are concerned, well yes it's horrible but I personally don't think the USAF will have too much of a moral dilemma until the collateral damage total stands at, oohhh, lets say 6 and a half thousand innocent lives? At least they ain't deliberately targetting the innocent. Lets get a bit of perspective here - the couple of dozen people that have been caught in the crossfire so far are not even as many what the Taliban would execute on a normal Friday night in Kabul for doing terrible shit like reading western books or listening to pop music.

All they have to do is surrender Osama and agree to stop training terrorists, and the war would stop in 2 minutes flat. If the Taliban had half an ounce of sense, they'd do it right now and start negotiating for peace before American soldiers start coming home in body bags and Uncle Sam gets really pissed off. Remember what George Bush rather un-subtly mentioned the day after the New York attack, that it was the greatest act of war on American soil since Pearl Harbor ... and I'm sure I don't need to remind everyone what the Japanese got for their efforts

As you probably know I was/and Iam against bombing a country just to find one man and its organisation. But I agree that the "war" has to be continued because you have to reach your target to at least justify these bombs a bit, else its a farce and a terrorattack basically.
As for "not so many innocents have been killed": From where do you know that? I would be very sceptical with such sort of information as for know, because we are in a war and there arent any "facts" around yet, just claims. Just remember: The NATO claimed in serbia to have destroyed hundreds of "strong vehicles (panzer)" but after the war it was proved that the number of destroyed vehicles is around 13 or something like that!!!

What do you do if Osama and his guys is in say Pakistan (thats not that true of a friend of yours, i hope you know that), do bomb that country as well (they have nuclear weapons, just a sidenote..)? The US better get Osama AND his best bunch of buddies, else this war is the begining of a total catastrophy!

P.S.: It is reported that there exists 10 osamas (1 original, 9 fakes), you better find the right one!

Crazy fact: there are 15,000,000 land mines in Afghanistan.
