The Scott Peterson Case

Wtf, i dont get it, they dont really have any proof and still he is convicted for murder

and why is there such a fuss about this case

edit:

hehe found loads of websites to support my case:

quote:
On December 24, 2002 Laci Peterson disappeared from her home in Modesto, California. Less than one hour after her disappearance, her husband Scott Peterson became the major focus of the investigation. Over the next year, 300 law enforcement officers, 98 public agencies, $4 million dollars and more than 30,000 man hours were spent attempting to prove that Scott Peterson killed his wife and unborn son. At the end of the investigation, not one person could produce any evidence as to when, where, how and, most importantly, why Scott Peterson murdered his wife.
The case of the People v. Scott Peterson began on June 1, 2004. The six months of testimony included over 180 witnesses as well as a number of revolving prosecution theories designed to fit the ever changing stories of prosecution witnesses. After six months, there was still not one credible theory advanced as to when, where, how or why Scott would murder Laci.

There was plenty of proof to convict him or do you require an eye witness to view the actual murder?

you're right he is innocent, they should release him so he can join OJ on the golf course in search of the "real" killers.

There was no hard evidence, only circumstantial. I think he probably did it, but I didn't think he'd be found guilty only based on circumstantial evidence, let alone the death penalty. The media seemed to focus on this because it was a good looking couple from the suburbs and the victim was pregnant. The coverage probably had something to do with the outcome. Horrible that it happened, but ridiculous how much coverage it got when many important stories got none. It all has to do with the entertainment aspect of the news to try to draw ratings.

Evidence presented by the prosecution:

http://www.courttv.com/trials/peterson/evidence3/

You can find day by day in depth discussions of the prosecution's case by going down to the bottom fo the main page:

Jurors comments about the verdict:

Circumstancial evidence is enough if it proves beyond a reasonable doubt.
