Hey, I'm planning to go the pc route for now, and decided that I might eventually go analog sooner than I thought.

Microkorg has the same engine that can be found on MS2000. MS2000 isn't frequentely used on trance like JP8000, but it has a great sound. I think you should go out and see other cheaper synths, such as Virus B tabletop or Yamaha AN1x, which is a great master keyboard as well.

microkorg is what i use and it is GREAT! it is very customizable and for the money i think it is worth at least a serious consideration.

Microkorg is great. AN1x also. You can find a Novation Nova for very cheap on eBay...has great trance potential.
