32 note and 24 note polyphony

I understand that the most notable difference between the Virus B and the Virus C is the level of polyphony. My question is this:

Does the significance of that extra polyphonic ability justify the extra $ you pay for a Virus C, when the synth engines are basically the same, and you can get a Virus B for a fraction of the price you'd pay for C.

I'm looking to get a Virus and I'm on a budget so I'm considering 2nd hand models.

Any advice would be appreciated.

cheers!

Virus C also has Moog-like filter.

If you think you have enough polyfony (24) I would go for the Virus B.

The design is allso a little bit different so you dont have to use menus as much on the C as you would on the B.

The B and the C are supposed to sound a little different. I've been told the B sounds a little more gritty than the C.

As a C owner, it is very rare that I would use all of the polyphony, however remember that there are up to four oscillators (including sub oscillator) and when you crank out the unison, it all starts adding up pretty quickly.

C also has EQ per part which IMO is pretty sweet...

thats a fair bit of dfferences but all really minor imo,...

like i doubt anyone wld be able to tell apart 2 songs made using the same programming settings (one with Virus B, the other with C)

or would they?

nevertheless the most major aspect here is the jump from 24 to 32 note polyphony. Just wanna know if its all that audible or not?
