HMV + Electronica = lots of happy people

Ok, this MIGHT be old news, but to me its really new. I just found out about it today.

I walk into HMV with my friend, go past the cash registers and to the dance/pop section to see if they had anything worth paying attention to that also happens to resemble trance. Well, we come up to the where that section was, and it is now replaced by 'ELECTRONICA'. "Heh, interesting" I say to myself. And then I see PvD's new album, Politics of Dancing. Yoink!! Buying that! I start looking around, and notice that this section is quite large. Then I notice another familiar name, John Digweed. They had a few of his albums from GU. Then I see Sasha, followed by Nick Warren, Tiesto, John '00' Flemming, Trance Control, Van Helden, Carl Cox, etc etc etc! The only 2 people missing were Ferry Corsten/System F and Armin Van Buuren. Other than that, everyone else I knew was there.

Anyways, anyone who's got a HMV by them, check it out if you don't already know about this. The one I went to was in Sherway Gardens Mall.
Peace!

I think they've had it for quite a while... electronic music used to be in the soul/dance section
Now it's where it belongs

Yeah, the A&BSound in Victoria has quite a big Electronica section, and one of the HMV's in Victoria even has a "dance music" chart along the wall that had some trance, hard house, Breaks etc. CDs on it.

yeah, I know about this, I know the HMV in Metrotown (Burnaby, BC, Canada) and it has electronica... I find most of the titles rather old, I mean I found BT's R&R at a&b sound before it was at HMV (if they have it...)

hell, it's a good place anyway... though I rather like the Virgin store downtown... but that's another story...

btw, doesn't HMV stand for Hollywood Music and Video? cuz I think we had that in ROMANIA too, so... dunno for sure.

No wonder I never noticed it before, since it was in the Soul/Dance section.

Last night I bought Politics Of Dancing, and tonight I'm buying something else...I don't know what though. So many things to choose from...maybe I'll get a John 00 Flemming cd, or something by Sasha or Digweed. Maybe Tiesto's In My Memory. Any suggestions?
