Canada hitting the US with sanctions
"The EU and Canada will impose a 15% duty on certain US imports in response to Washington's distribution of anti-dumping duties.
The retaliatory actions stems from a dispute over the Byrd Amendment, a program which allows the US government to distribute funds raised by anti-dumping duties to US companies who were 'unfairly disadvantaged' by the low priced foreign products on which the duties were levied.
The US government has distributed more than $1 billion to US companies under the amendment over the last four years.
Canada's Trade Minister said the sanctions were necessary and that International trade rules must be respected.
The World Trade Organization deems the Byrd amendment, named after WV Senator Robert Byrd, illegal and has approved an initial $150 million in sanctions.
The EU said the new duties will begin on May 1 and will be collected on products including textiles, candles and sweet corn. Canada will impose duties on live swine, oysters and cigarettes on the same day.

Shit why not go further, shut the switch off to their electricty we give them also. If they want electricity, build some windmills and/or put some solar panels up, because Hydro Quebec and Ontario, are suppose to make a new dam in, Nflds.
As much as I like Americans, they can drive me nuts. I know their are biggest trading partner, but fuck finally we are fighting back. Tired of getting abused by a power thats falling apart.
