Dancing Dude Anybody else go to How Sweet It Is? It was off the hook!

Well I'm 20 and 8 long months to go before I reach the magic age so my only option to go out last night was to hit up How Sweet It Is and oh man, how sweet it was. I got there at 9 and the Glaudefather was spinning some hard tech house, Donald knows how to move a fuckin crowd. After about an hour and a half, DJ Dan came on and mixed after Glaude. This was the first time that I've seen Dan actually spin some funk! He was the first and last DJ that I saw in the main room because at around 11 I made my way over to the DnB/breaks room to catch Killa Kela and DJ SS. I was with 8 friends and we were dancing our asses off having a great fuckin time. Still tired from not going to sleep until 1 pm earlier today.

i went there.. but.. i guess just not my type of shit.. it was my first massive/rave or whatever.. the music just wasnt interesting enough i guess.. the speakers and the actual place was pretty fucking cool... the waiting in a line for 3 hours to get in wasnt so cool though.. not since i already had my tickets.. oh well.. still enjoyed myself though..

I went as well.... i would have to agree the line management was very unorganized with many people getting in the front rather then waiting in line like the rest of us. I arrived at 8:30pm with pre-sale tickets and didn't get in until almost midnight.... aside from that it was a great party.. saw lots of familier faces and danced a lot... too bad I wasn't able to enjoy more of it.

entrance was hectic . i was there at 8PM and waited 2
hours in line, probably longest in my life to any event. i was guessing
people coming later would even wait longer. there were two reasons:
1. so nice people sneaking in 2. security being tighter than the airport.
they were splitting the guys and girls and doing a check first with metal
detector, which beeps even on the bone, and then randomly hand
checking including the crotch for guys and between breasts for women
. i was really pissed. they probably mixed the baseball's
steroid inspection with this. after all the interrogation, as soon as I
entered, i saw people stoned lying on the ground, security
dragging a passed out guy. i wonder where they dumped him.
if i see any event organized by tripple bum B3, overslept insomniac,
or clueless tribe, i ain't going. so, way thumbs down for the organization.

third theme was the parking lot. i do not know what was more lame, sound quality or people amused by it

second theme was freestyle, not to my taste. it should have been
named as quake zone, since the speakers were so loud, ground
was vibrating. i did not like the music, crowd was too passive,
but i liked the ground effects

at the main floor, dj until 11:30PM was cool. i really enjoyed him.
i liked the laser effects, better than circus, avalon and ex-heaven.
then, the following fool sucked big time, took all the energy out of
the crowd. even the paid go go dancers had problem moving.
the last dj was so so.

girls saved the night though

Thumbs down

Any party where security fondles guy's crotches and girls' breasts=uncool. Just me but I believe there's a fine line betweeen frisking and molestation.

I HAD TO WAIT CLOSE TO TWO HOURS IN LINE AND FINALLY GOT IN AROUND TEN. I WAS IN THE MAIN ROOM THE WHOLE NIGHT AND I THOUGHT THE NIGHT WAS OVERALL PRETTY SWEET; DEFINITELY NOT AS GOOD AS MONSTERMASSIVE 2004 BUT IT WAS FUN. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I SAW DJ SNEAK & DOC MARTIN. SNEAK DROPPED SOME PRETTY DOPE TRACKS AND I ENJOYED HIS SET. I EXPECTED TO HEAR MORE UPLIFTING HOUSE TRACKS FROM DOC MARTIN. HIS SET WAS MEDIOCRE; THE TRACK SELECTION DIDN'T REALLY DO IT FOR ME. I HAVE FRIENDS WHO REFUSE TO GO TO THESE ALL AGES EVENTS. BUT I FEEL THAT WHEN I PARTY WITH THE YOUNGER ALL AGES CROWD, THERE'S A MORE POSITIVE VIBE FLOATING AROUND AND IT'S INFECTIOUS. AS OPPOSED TO THE EXCLUSIVE 21 AND ONLY EVENTS CROWD (LIKE GIANTVILLAGE 2005) THERE'S A BUNCH OF DRUNKEN DUMB-FUCKS WHO ARE BOUND TO KILL SOMEONE'S ROLL.

How sweet it was for sure. The shrine auditorium is huge. I think it is one of the best places to throw a massive. I had never been there but the two main rooms were massive 50 foot + ceilings and room to dance everywhere. The line did suck though its because of people like me who cut. That was the only way to get in. I got in right as grant plant came on. He was throwing it down. He played one of my favorite tracks (Emit/Collect-Zero(Rennie Pilgrem Remix)which got my night off to a good start. Then donald glaude came on and threw it down. You know the (Get the fuck up) and throw up the heart and use the cross fader with your teeth glaude that we are used to. After Glaude Dj Dan took the decks and started getting funky. I didnt get to see much of Sneaks set because I kept going to the drum and bass room. Actually all night I found myself in there. The mc's were tearing it up. Killa Kela had me trippin. I dont see how you can make all those noises with his mouth. Well I guess thats why he was voted best beatbox in the world. N-E-ways I had to finish off the night with some good old house with none other than Doc Martin. He was also getting funky with a lot of tribal, just how I like it. I was mad at the end when they did not play one last song though. I even got a chant of 5,000 people yelling(one more song) but security did not let him play it. Therefor I bought a Doc Martin CD on my way out for the ride home. It kept me groovin all night. It was a good cd. I dont know about all of you but I LOVE MASSIVES.

Tons of people(hot girls) Tons of room to dance & Great Music(Bumpin) what more could you ask for. I had a wonderful time. I should get my picture developed soon and then I'll post.

Luckily for you guys I found someone who took pics of the party.

I didn't go to this one, I was at BubbleGum Sci Fi in San Fran. But sounds like the security were dicks and the promoters unorganized.
