Trouble Recording

Hi everyone. I'm having trouble recording my vinyls to .WAV. I am running a cable from Record to Line In in my Audigy 2 sound card. I am using Sony's Sound Forge 8 to record. I have all my EQs set in the middle (I.E. zeroed out) and have the gain up to just before it hits the red on my Xone. I'm recording to just about -0.5 to -1.5 in Sound Forge.

However once I rip the .WAV to .MP3 and have a listen on my PC via Winamp it sounds like there is way too much bass. Anyone else having problems like this? Any ideas?

Thanks,
Keith
