Kudos to a dj
Hi Everyone, I'm reallynew here, but I've been into the scene for quite some time now. I came out from Toronto back in January, where I've been to some of the sickest parties eva!
I was told about this site by one of your members, and you got a good thing going on here. I've finally found a reliable source for what's happening around here. I see there's some good shows coming up, and some I can't believe I missed. I'm actually quite surprised I didn't find out about this site back home (wow, those Toronto forums are really packed!)
Recently, my girlfriend and I went on a road trip around B.C. (not to far outta Van though) and we found ourselves up in Whistler where we going to stay for 1 week! What an amazing place that is it's quite awe-inspiring.
On our first night there, we found ourselves at Garfinkel's where there was a trance party going on. After about an hour or so, the place started to fill up and this party started happening!
It was your own Mortyman - The Digital Pimp, that was throwing down a set that I haven't heard in ages! We couldn't believe what we had stumbled into. Full of energy and a packed house, Garfinkel's nightclub was going off!
After the night was over, I met Kris, and what an awesome guy! A super nice dude, down to earth, and who loves his music more than anyone I've ever met! I felt like one of those annoying fans that just wanted to talk shit to the DJ all night about how he made me feel. lol, that's not like me either.
Whistler is very lucky to have someone like him and from what I can tell, he's got some big aspirations and will do some amazing things for the scene up there. The whole 'White Night' theme was unbelieveable! Later that week we revisited Garfinkel's and it looked nothing like the night of the party.
Kris really set the tone for the duration of our stay, and we both thank him for giving us a night we won't forget! Please let us know the next time we can hear you play, your night was worth the trip alone!
