Who are the "famous" prog djs nowadays ?

Hello,

Most of the time i listen trance, but i started to listen more and more prog house, and i really like it Some radio and netradio station play prog house (proton, etn.fm, party107, etc), but who are those dj that "famous" or "well known", and worth listen ?

For me, "well known" means :

- minimum 1 mix / months for any radio, max 3 mix/ month (so no Niklas "I make 656565 mixes for 344354 radio" Harding type prog dj)
- minimum 1 song played by top djs (top 50 dj at djmag list)

Don't talk about the top prog djs (Herman C., Sander K. or G+D), i am interested in the not-so-top but well known djs. Can you help me complile a list of these djs ?

To get the main idea : in trance i consider :
- well known djs for example : passiva, st. john, john o'callaghan, sonicvibe, menno de jong, etc.
- not famous dj (although his mixes are fine) : Stuart Fraser, Min tian, giorgio ponticelli, elin gerstin, etc.

Ste:

Sure. I give a try to all new (trance) dj. If i like his set (or his songs / remixes), i will listen his stuff.
But seriously think about the situation : there are at least 5-10 good internet radio station. Since we are humans, we can't enjoy 10 dj mixes at the same time. So in this case we need to select some (10-20) djs we like, so then we can listen them.
That is why i would like to see a well known prog house dj list. I spent 4 years listening trance, so i have my trance dj list, but i just listen prog some months ago. And it is so annoying if for example i hear a very good dj set by Dj "for me his name is unknown" at proton radio, but maybe he is well known - so i need to listen his sets more often.

But hes normally rock solid.

Danny Howells and Hernan Cattaneo, and the very underrated Dave Seaman plays lots of excellent progressive stuff in his sets.

Another great prog dj is Ashley Casselle, aka Ashtrax. Saw him open for Howells in NYC one night, nearly blew the roof off before Howells started.

Re-read your post at the top, I suppose you can ignore my suggestions then. You should change your topic to more accurately reflect what you're looking for.

Why don't you just answer his question instead of giving him a hard time about it. Damn...

Anyway, John Digweed rocks! Grab his Global Underground LA cd if you get a chance.
