Arrow a friend and i are making a trip to the guvernment

Hello,

a friend and i were planning on making a trip to the guvernment to see tall paul and mark oliver play on may 14th. Is the guvernment a pretty cool place to see a show? My friend wants to try e and i told him he should defintly be in a club setting, but will this event be more clubbish than ravish? I just get all worried when theres alcohol, neither of us drink really and the only real trance show ive been to so far was godskitchen when i visited ireland, wich was true rave like with no alcohol at all n e everywhere and it was impossible to not have a great time!

And both of us are 20 yrs old - will there be a lot of people this age and is it safe to leave the place after the show? Is it safe to buy e @ the show? Do a lot of people get drunk and are there fights at the guvernment? Like just in general what is the vibe?

I'm all worried because ive been to some just totally uncool shows before where the vibe was just drunken and aggressive etc. were both totally not into that and id hate to waste the money and time! But really either way im going to want to go because i love tall paul and mark oliver's stuff

Thanks for your replies!

the fact is, yes its a big club atmosphere, with lots of people drinking and being asses.

Honestly though, i usually have an absolutly amazing time when i go. There are tonnes of drunk people, but i do manage to meet great/nice/fun people everytime i go. So i would definatly recommend going.

When you leave the club, there are tonnes of people around, and its pretty close to the downtown core. I have always felt safe when leaving, but maybe thats cause i always leave with a smile on my face.

Going to the Guv is definatly an experience, and i highly recommend it.

Many people will tell you that they hate the crowd at guv, but dont be an ass, and people wont be asses to you, thats how i go, and thats why i have a great time, everytime.

the guvernment attracts quite a mix when it comes to the crowd. You'll get everything from shirtless juice monkeys with their plastic girlfriends, to cooler more chilled out normal clubbers, to oldskool ravers, and the notorious 'cracked out Asians'.

Yes, it is safe to drive after leaving the club, especially if you're leaving after the club closes, probably 7:30-8am for Tall Paul. On nights where the club plays EDM, there are very few 'serious' problems like fights, but people can get a little rude and pushy at times, especially if the club is really crowded, which it's notorious for doing.

However, all in all, for a first timer, you'll most likely have a great time at the guv and I'd say go. Most people on these boards who complain about the Guvernment [myself included] do so only because we've gone out enough times to enough different places to pick out all the little things about the place we don't like. However, for someone who hasn't really been out, you probably won't notice them, and have a good time anyway.

As for drugs, it's not exactly proper to ask about them on the forum boards, as TA isn't exactly in the habit of illegal doings.
