Fruity Fruity!

Having tried the fl studio demo for the past few weeks, I have been hooked its a great little program and getting free updates for life is great stuff from a software company.

Before parting with my cash for it though I was just wondering what sort of quality the manual is that comes with it, Is it any good ? What i mean is, is it basic? or does it go into great depth in certain area's ? etc etc

As well as a detailed manual you'll find tons of tutorials and tips on www.flstudio.com (when you've logged in). There are tons of tutorials on forums all over the net and the community always help. TA is a good place to get help.

do it. fl rules. also consider sytrus vsti and fruity soundfont player (if you're interested). there are many tutorials out there so learning shouldn't be a problem.

Good Stuff.
How about the midi instrument side of things?

You'll be disappointed in the MIDI implementation. It only allows for 1 MIDI device. However, I use FL and all I need is my keyboard since I use all VST - I love this app!

As for the manual, it is the help file that is included. To get started quickly though, download the 'Getting Started Guide' from their site and follow it through - it's a GREAT and detailed tutorial. That's how I learned. It's fun and it only takes about an hour to get through. It will show you the basics.

The FL forums are awesome and are worth the cost of registration alone. I don't know where I would be without those forums!

DO NOT BUY THE BOXED VERSION!!! If you buy the boxed version, you DO NOT get lifetime updates. You only get one update that way. Buy throught the net only!!
