Pro-53, Vanguard, Synth1, Hydra, Junglists, DX10(the fruity loops generator) all thoose are good at creating deep basslines but ive learned alot fo ti comes down to how much processesing you put into the bassline to make it sound good. a new thing ive been doing is either gating or arping a bassline to give it more movement.

I take quater notes or half notes of a bass sound, and set it as a one shot and set pitch( usually I pitch it up). Then draw out eight of them one for each count. Copy it then paste over so that about an eighth note is over lapped and set the pitch. Do this over again until you Have a rymthm you are satisfied with. Set the pitch for each set of bass tones and you can do chord progressions.....blahbalah

hope this helps Peace
