Remix vocal question.

Any advice on program to pull vocal from Anita Ward - Ring My Bell or place to get acapella vocal sample?

most likely house. But... any programs good for snagging vocals. I'm going to try soundforge in a bit.

Theres a few threads on here about this, but you are going to need to use the search facility geez. Just a thought, but why don't u just sample the original, twist it up and add ur own beats, synth, bass, just like the sunset strippers did and Eric Prydz and pretty much all of the funky bootlegs.

There is a way to strip the vocal from a song - but it involves having the section/part as an instumental as well as the song with the vocal. if you then flip the phase of one when you combine them, it will in theory remove everything except the vocal. I have done this using both sound forge and wavelab with differing results, usually even when it works you will end up with a muddy vocal. Don't try to eq out the other frequencies (ie cut the bass drum) as you will also eq out any of those frequncies from the vocal and will be left with with a really weak sounding sample. You can do this on songs where the vocal is in a different frequency range to the other parts (i.e. high pitched vocal over a bassline) and get away with it.
I found loads of accapelas on the P2P's and found they are usually the masters from the original studio recordings = great quality. That's definately the best way to go.....

Sorry mate! P2P's are peer to peer networks, basically programs which allow the sharing of files between users.
Try : www.winmx.com
and : www.slsknet.org
Downlaod the programs and start searching!
Just for the record - downloading other people's music without paying for it is illegal and means artists, producers and engineers don't get paid. This aint gonna matter to you if you're doing a booty anyway!

You need to goto

Elevayta.com

and download the ExtraBoy Plug in - it did a fantastic job on my
My Immortal track. It doesnt seperate the vocals completely but when you put the vocals back over your track it sounds ok.

have a listen - My Immortal

The sample was fine - but i was trying to seperate the vocal from a piano - so I had to run it through the Freeware plug-in twice, but its the best I could do under the circumstances - have you tried getting the vocal track off Epic??
