Sad Are there no more trance albums?

I mean, yes, we have a lot of good edm still out there, sander's this is everybody too, way out west's don't look now, james holden balance 005 and so forth but these arent trance anymore.

yes i frequent the forum, i see there is a change going on within the edm industry. many say for the better but i think its just a change. just different. and i do miss melody, i disagree with sander when in one of his interviews he says trance is like a 3 minute orgasm, when compiled well it can reach 40-50 minutes of orgasmic feeling.

so i am looking forward to tpod2, and isos4. i hope this reinstills my faith in melodic trance.

i was talking to a mate last night about this, and we also concluded that there aren't really any trance albums being released these days.

also hoping that there will be a revival.

just swings in the market man, it has nothing to do with the actual music that is being made, but rather the music that is getting sold, there is a difference.

that being said, I'm not a big fan of the direction the music seems to be taking either, it seems to be in a sort of purge mode rather than at a happy medium or an oversold movement like before, but I just keep watching for the next round of awesome stuff to come out, while occasionaly finding something I like in the lot of stuff that is coming out.

not much one can do about those things except complaining, or taking a shot at making new music, or launching some sort of marketing compaign,

it is interesting to watch how the EDM fanbase's ideas on what sounds are cool changes over time though, some people like to call it progress, thinking it happens something like natural selection, I see it as changing trends and shifting marketing strategies.

this is true.

however, if a producer were to produce some pure (albeit formulaic and whatever else people like to brand it) trance and somehow convinced the labels to sell it or passed it to some respected djs/radio stations to play it... i'm sure it would sell.

there are people out there, like us, who would like nothing more than some new (but ol'skool in style) trance being released.

trance dude, trance.

DJ Laz - check out [P.E.G] - Chiba if you haven't already. Quality, imo.

I'm not a fan of remixed classics. Some work out pretty good and breathe fresh life into the track, but many should have been left alone. I'd like to see new tunes but with the old flavour
