heya guys,
The Philly contingent comes to NYC this weekend. I'm spinning with Fluid resident Mark Pappas (Tigerhook Corp) this Friday, April 22 @ The Door in NYC. there's no cover and there’ll be the usual craziness……bottle service, shisha, food.
Lineup:
9-11 Panagiotis
11-1 Gaafar El Mallah
1-close Mark Pappas
Bio:
Mark Pappas Bio
In the past few years Mark Pappas has made quite a name for himself in the
international dj scene. From playing regional one off parties to traveling
internationally and releasing records on several high profile progressive
labels, things have been going quite well for the young dj from
Philadelphia.
Mark is part of the well-known Tigerhook Corporation, who between them has
releases on just about every major progressive label there is including
Bedrock, Hooj Choons and Saw. Mark himself has done remix work and has had
original productions signed to labels such as Cp Recordings, EQ Grey, Hope
recording's sister label Polyester, Connected Recordings among others with
many more relases and remixes planned for later this year.
On the dj side of things, Mark has been playing steadily both in and out of
the country. He has played places such as Club Breeze on the Island of
Santorini in Greece, Liquid in Panama, Club 360 in Costa Rica, and huge
parties such as the massive Ultra music festival at WMC and this year he
will be part of Local 13's enormous Whistle party. Mark is often the go to
dj to open when the top djs in the world come to town such as Steve Lawler,
Tiesto, Deep Dish, and many, many others. In April of 2001, Mark was the
featured guest dj on John Digweed's Kiss FM radio show based out of London,
which is a huge honor considering how many people try for this spot and the
past guests which include, Danny Tenaglia, Sasha, Deep Dish, and just about
ever major progressive dj today.
Mark stays on top the newest and most bangingprogressive and tribal house by
being a member of the prestigious Balance Record Pool as well as being the
progressive/tribal house buyer at 611 Records in Philadelphia.
The past few years have just been the start. There are huge things in the
works for this young dj from Philadelphia.
