Dude, its not like you can just buy a mixer, and the turntables are an accoesory you can get if u feel like it.
You will have to get the dex and your mixer at the same time, other wise you wont be able to play/mix records together! And of course, if you dont want to be stealin your grnny's old frank sinatra vinyls, i suggest you get maybe 5-10 or so tracks that you know quite well, so you can mix them in diffrent orders to get a feel for mixing.
Also, second hand decks are a steal at times, but others, are a rip-off.
Make sure there isnt alot of motor wear going on
(E.g, if you are buying a set of top of the range technics, and the platter feels like a 3 year old set of belt drive Sound labs,then the motors are f****d!)
If they have been seeing alot of club/party use, check to see if they have been dropped in any way, and also if there is any trace of spillages inside the turntable this can be a pain in the ass!
And finally, make sure the pitch control works, ive seen many people get bumped this way!
