Well, Im the newbie, and was wondering, what should I do first? Buy a mixer, tables, or vinyl? Wich first?; or should I just buy them them altogether as a bundel pack?? And one last thing, are second-hand tables bad??

Dude, its not like you can just buy a mixer, and the turntables are an accoesory you can get if u feel like it.
You will have to get the dex and your mixer at the same time, other wise you wont be able to play/mix records together! And of course, if you dont want to be stealin your grnny's old frank sinatra vinyls, i suggest you get maybe 5-10 or so tracks that you know quite well, so you can mix them in diffrent orders to get a feel for mixing.

Also, second hand decks are a steal at times, but others, are a rip-off.

Make sure there isnt alot of motor wear going on
(E.g, if you are buying a set of top of the range technics, and the platter feels like a 3 year old set of belt drive Sound labs,then the motors are f****d!)

If they have been seeing alot of club/party use, check to see if they have been dropped in any way, and also if there is any trace of spillages inside the turntable this can be a pain in the ass!

And finally, make sure the pitch control works, ive seen many people get bumped this way!

I say, if you don't got the money for buying a whole set, get first some vinyls and one TT.. so in the meantime you'll be able to listen to them and learn them, and after get another TT and a mixer...

id recommend you buying the mixer and tables @ the same time, but if
not, then buy your tables first (make sure you get the cartridges too.) you can always listen to your favorite jams through your receiver, u just can't mix. as for the part of buyin vinyl, you of course cant play vinyl if you dont have any :P

actually, there are other ways to start!
i started with my mom's turntable and a cd-player with no pitch and a borrowed 50$ mixer from a friend.
Gary D started with a CD-player without pitch and a tapedeck (!)
so, get some vinyl and a mixer start messing around...if you really like it, get cd-players with pitch or turntables (btw, used Technics are usually fine, if they run at all they will run forever)
