Lightbulb Calling all PC DJ's

Recently there was a poll on what the best PC mixing program was.....well you were all giving suggestions there and what was good and what sucked.....from VTT comes a new project....they opened forums to suggestions here:
http://www.digitopia.org.uk/
go there to post what you want to see in this new prg, to see what it is like and more info, etc.
Support them because it looks amazing.

been there, I have the same username.

VTT is the best mixing program out there, I'm using it right now, and the new one will be even better.

I still want what's in my signature though.

vtt is great man.. it teaches you beatmatching skills if you don't use their bpm counter.. really.. i've been using it for a year and a half.. when i got my techs, only took me a few hours before i was beatmatching songs in no time..

I don't know about traktor, I downloaded the demo, but I couldn't get it to work right.. I did like alot of the features, but I wasn't able to get a decent mix out of thing in an hour, so I gave up.

it's too much like using a computer, and too little like using turntables.

VTT is the closest thing you can get on a computer in my opinion.

I totally agree with RavingLunatic on that one. Ive been using vtt for 3 years and my mixes sound very decent. I cant wait to try the new clone of that mixing program, expect it to beat the rest.

Virtual Turntables.. from www.carrotinnovations.com
it hasn't been updated for a long time, but thats ok, cuz the program does all that i need.

Its the best for playing anything live, and teaching you how to beatmatch and stuff.. alot like real cd decks, except you use the mouse. my only beef is the shitty mixer and eq, but thats ok, cuz i have an external mixer which can be hooked up to them.

i don't think any other program can compare right now...
soundforge is a wav editor.. u can't use that program to mix live.

I agree wiv FastDJ, Traktor is by far the best prog out there. And i have used VTT, Traktor, PCDJ, MixMeister and a couple of others. Traktor is the closest you'll get to real decks, is the best for making live mixes and can teach you beat matching as well as any other prog out there as long as you dont look at the BPM counter.

Peace

Any other suggestions besides VTT and traktor. I've got Traktor, I've used it quite a bit, but after I upgraded my computer, I can't get the damn thing to play a song at a consistant BPM, it's flucuating very slightly land throws off any beat matching. Not to mention it completely screwing up after mixing for a bit and I have to close the program and start over. I've tried VTT, didn't like it, so I'm looking for something else (Traktor was great, it just doesn't want to work). I uppose Winamp with a pitch control plugin would work (I'm using it as a third input, have a much larger mp3 collection than I do vinyl).

Well..

the thing with traktor is I couldn't figure out how to fix the mix if it was off a bit, there is no jogwheel..

if you didn't like VTT, try the jogwheel skin, it's much better, much more control..

the skins in VTT actually change the functionality of the program, not just the look of it.
