Great intro, with some really nice and well placed filter sweeps!
I think the problem is the quality, its hard to judge the sound quality with a 80kbps sample.
I think in general this could use some more lower-mid frequencies. I like how you put together all those percussive elements, and the FX work really well. The lead sounds a bit sluggish, maybe thats what youre going for, but it seems to be a bit delayed.
Anyway, nice song, good atmosphere, keep it up!

thanks for reviewing it cybernetica!

i apologize for the low quality, but it's not finished yet and i wanted there to be only 1 high quality version floating around when i get done.

i tried to leave some room because i want to add some guitars and vocals to finish it off, so hopefully those will take up some of the low mids you were talking about.

peace,
-rob

(btw i have been listening to your track 'reality blind' while writing this, and it's very enjoyable to listen to i love piano

Hey,
Listening .... Cool Drum Intro, kinda POP/Rap/D&B , I like the athmosphere you built for the intro, sounds like in a Movie, at 1:01 when the kick begins to hit at 4x4 it lacks of some energy though, at 2:00, the pads are great, what u used for to do them? I like a lot their sound .
In overall, the track sounds fine, but it lacks of more synths, I am sure you coue a Piano with tons of reverb or a plucked sound for the breakdown, also I think Cyber is right about the hig Freqs, u put some more Melodies and a Piano or a Plucked sound and u have a superb track dude, great work .
Kopi =o.

The kick and the clap are crap imo. The drums can be improved, you have the synth and melodic side, now work on the percs. Btw the melody reminds me Accadia - Into the Dawn.

Good effort overall on the sweeps and synths lines. Work well !

Cheers, D-Miurge.

aw i like the clap! i can try some more though, who knows maybe i'll find one even better

there is something with the sub bass sound that makes me want to use a sharp kick like that so there isn't much interference from the
kick and the sub frequencies. i want the sub bass to hit more from the synth and the kick acts more as the attack, not having much sub energy on its own, but it is an experiment so i will try out some more kicks and listen to it on more speaker systems to get a better idea of what the subs are doing.

i'll add / modify percs too

thanks!
