i quite like this one mate, oldschoolish
things to work on imo:
change the kick
the bass covers too much of the spectrum, narrow it down
and if you don't want it to sound that oldschoolish, work on the percs, especially the snare.. some bitcrushing maybe

Just a few things before I go (I'm off to Minnesota for a few weeks, during which time my internet capabilities will be minimal):
The kick and bass: In this case, I was going for the somewhat thuddier kicks that trance had before it was known as trance. Mostly it was just an experimentation. Mostly, it interfered with the bass, which I wanted to fill more of the spectrum in this case. Not for any reason; just more experimentation.
The acid: That's just the TS404. Normally, when using that synth, I lengthen the attack, and turn the RM knob all the way to full, and it sounds enough like a 303 for my tastes. In fact, I can seem to get the same sounds out of Bassline, which is why I use the 404.
