Any cheap guitar and amp will sound 1 million times better than any one of the guitar simulations...

slayer 2 sounds muuuuuuch better than slayer 1, but still they wont ever come close to a real guitar, amp, and effects. the nice thing though with slayer 2, is that you can use it as an effect and just experiment with it a bit. but if your looking to make a guitar line in a track, i wouldnt recommend spending your money on it. but you know, if you dont have a guitar lying around or an amp then i suppose its ok for the mean time. i find that it sounds insanely cheap, and of course will never give you the same timbre, velocity, freedom, etc, as it would with a real acoustic guitar.

thanks for your replies. I'm aware that slayer two doesn't sound anything like a real guitar but the sound I'm trying to achieve isn't intended to be realistic.
I just found that after playing around with slayer 1 for a while you can get some pretty cool, but unrealistic lead sounds.
I really just wondering whether there is another better kind of electric guitar simulation
