Extracting from bad media

My old computer was shit and I get cyclical rendundancy errors when I extract certain songs. What program can I use to copy the songs to my computer perhaps using a slower speed or a better process?

I'm just curious, as I had this problem when trying to copy some files from an archive DVD. I assumed it was just corrupt files on the media, and there was nothing I could do about it.

Try using IsoBuster. If there's only a couple bad sectors, chances are you can still recover it.

If I recall correctly that's for audio CDs and not MP3s and other data.

Sometimes using a program like ISO Buster allows you to do it at slower speeds and it might even do a more thorough copy procedure, who knows. I had some luck with Alcohol 120% as well when I had a DVD that wouldn't let me copy the MPGs from it.
