Well I have to say I was pretty damnnnnnn bored of Sandra's set. Due to the fact it was ALL progresive from the start and I couldn't wait any longer, so therefore I left and I wasn't pleased at all. By the time I was in line for coat check ... it seem like she started to spin trance ... but by this time it was far too late for me to stay. (This always happens to me. Either I'm bored or too sleepy)
Next time I should hold a big sign saying " SPIN TRANCE GOD DAMN IT !!!"
I saw her at Turbo last time and it was all progressive ... so my faith in her as a trance DJ is forever lost. I just wish DJs these days kept to their roots and spin what they are known for.
On a good note, I met Sandra at Turbo and made my night.

I was listening to the live broadcast from Tonic on 100.7FM, and to tell you the truth, her set was nothing special... just plain old boring progressive sounds (what can I say, I just don't dig it).
I guess I don't dig this North American definition of trance... it's all getting progressive, maybe even too progressive. Someone just bring Armin or Ferry back to this city, already!!!

first of all......I agree that she does not play epic trance....but there's room for all types of sound......it was very danceable that's for sure......anyways...did you listen to the whole set....cause I was there....and by the end of it.....she did throw out some trance tracks...........and the beats were solid.........
tiesto/avb/yves deruyter....my favorites....but it's nice to have a change in pace once in a while......
i believe that trance encompasses many different sounds....perhaps you are referring more to melodic trance (which I also like the best)....but the same synth technology is used throughout....even over to breaks and other electronic music....so......let's not get technical........
if she were to have played similar stuff....with more melodic breaks........and maybe a little faster........I'm sure you would have enjoyed it.
p.s. I recently thought that progressive was boring....but have discovered that infact...it's awesome to dance to........I ultimately prefer.....the epic/melodic/whateva you call it Tiests/AVB/etc. sound but you may find that one day you will end up liking the more progressive stuff in addendum to the classic trance styles.
peace

You take two pieces of bread, stick a piece of processed cheese in the middle...stick the WHOLE thing in a toaster oven, and you've got yourself a quick-fix psuedo-grilled cheese.
...let's just apply the same lesson learned to music genres, and not even worry about what Robert Marr's father did in the airforce.
Thank you.

Yep, if she played just a bit more melodic stuff, I probably might have enjoyed the set more... and maybe one day I'll end up liking the more progressive stuff, but I don't see that day coming anytime soon.
But maybe in the distant future...

I was passing out by the time Sandra Collins hit the decks, I got a half of tape of her set, but did anyone catch Brad Copeland??
I really enjoy hearing this guy!!!
Not to mention at the end of his set he played this white label track I have called "Simulation", its a retro track remix and its amazing!
Sandra was good but big ups to Brad!
