So I'm thinking about picking up one of the M-Audio Trigger Fingers for drums and sampling, anyone used one? They're moderately inexpensive, but I don't want to buy one just b/c it's affordable, especially if it sucks...

My current setup:

Power Mac G4 w/ Ableton Live 4, Cubase SE, Reason 3.0, a few Native Instruments VSTi's (Pro 53, Reaktor, etc.)
1 x Fender Strat (American Standard)
1 x Ibanez Custom Electro-Acoustic Guitar
M-Audio Ozone Midi Audio Interface
M-Audio Firewire Audiophile
2 x Pioneer CDJ 800
1 x Technics sl1200MKII
Pioneer DJM 500

I know I added the DJ equipment in there, but meh, thought I'd be thorough...

i don't want to spend 25cents on a gumball if it sucks!

i haven't used it, and its defiantely the piece of gear thats way more of a want then a need...but if you want to enjoy playing midi drums that much more, then have fun. i considered getting one myself, but decided to invest more money into my monitors instead.

controllers like that really only seem to benefit hip hop producers who actually play out their beats. so if you plan on doing anything like that, then this will be a pretty decent replacement for the mpc.

Yeah man, I just can't afford an MPC right now, but I like using Ableton in my sets, and it seems like it would be a decent controller to use... I've actually never even talked to anyone whose used one yet tho, so I'm a little wary...

If I don't hear anything I may just save up and buy an MPC at the end of this summer...

BTW, I also mentioned this just because I got to do some prod work on an MPC and I really liked being able to program/control a majority of the elements in the track with a sampler, definitely allowed for some cool (albeit a bit shaky) improv, that I think could sound pretty good live if worked on...
