Last night I fell in love with a German. (And how much I hate TO's TTC)
Heh. Let me start off by saying: I HATE YOUR TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM, TORONTO!!
I have never dropped so much cash on random busses, street cars, subways, and GO busses. I must have spent 20 dollars just getting to and from Ascension last night. I think you're city is made to steal us small city kid's money. $2.25 to get on the subway.. but you have to spend 5 bucks in the machine to get 2 tokens. 2 dollars on the GO bus, which you can't get a transfer. I had to do that three times.. I thought that if I got a "transfer" I could just get back on, but apparently transfers are no good in your city. You can't use them for dick. Anyways.. enough on that.
We got to the party after walking around the city for about 2 hrs, and.. well.. it was full of poser druggies. It was pretty annoying. *sigh* The vibe was good.. but only because there was so much E in everyone that it was impossible to be downed. Heh. I still laugh every time I see the token 'mulitcolored-tophat guy' and sure enough there was one of those guys bouncing around mindlessly to the beat. It was around 1 am when we got there, so we missed a few dj's. A set ended and some other guy that I don't know came on and spun some repetitive progressive for an HOUR AND A HALF. That was brutal. Then we learned that M-Zone's flight had been delayed in Winnipeg on account of a snow storm (shudder) and he would be arriving later on in the evening/morning. So Dr.Trance stepped up to the plate. Smoked! He was playing some good shit, guys. German trance is where it is at. I love that stuff. Smooth mixes, sick tracks, the place was jumpin'. He played this one crazy track, maybe you guys have heard it, it was like a Gregorian chant, very hard and driving. Then came M-Zone and layed down some phat music, nice 2 hr set.. we missed the last 30 mins or so, but left over-all pleased with the party and to get away from all those e-tards.
Was anyone from TA there last night?
