Dunno whether they'd have it in Belfast or Scotlan, bit out of the way...
Fortunately in 5 years Sheff Utd will have a 36,000 stadium and is supposed to be the best in Yorkshire so it should be there!

They already decided on the footballing venues a while back but they'll probably consider more venues between now and 2012. Stadiums up and down the country will have improved by then, Liverpool and Arsenal are both building shiny new stadiums and I'd be very surprised if they didn't use Arsenal's Emirates Stadium as it'll be right on their doorstep in London.

You can fly from London to Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow or Belfast in one hour, we live in a small country so it won't be a problem.
When Australia had the Olympics they distributed it between all the big cities, not just Sydney, and Australia is massive compared to the UK.
London is very congested already so they'll be happy for other cities to host some of the events. Other cities will be very happy to have events come their way because it all boosts the local economy.

Good for them. Bad for the French.

This is ace, I was going to say comiserations to France since the Paris bid did look good from their presentation, but then I read how bitter their press are, claiming our secret services helped us win (i mean ffs!), and now I don't care hehe.
