Recording a set - VERY bass heavy? Why?

Hi folks,

Got my new DJM707 hooked up to my new Audiophile 2496 to record a set and although its crystal clear, the bass is way too loud. All the EQ's are set at 0 so its not being boosted there and its a set of bog standard SL1210's with AL500's - nothing fancy.

Any ideas peeps?

Rikki

Thanks for that mate but the M-Audio is a very very basic card and doesnt have these type of settings on it (from what I can gather). I'll post an MP3 clip so people can hear what I mean.

Thanks,

Rikki
