He was on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night, and I was expecting something with even just a little electronic influence. All he played was what sounded to me like any typical rock song. Is he trying to move away from electronic music or something?

na. I saw him live recently. And he played a lot of rock stuff in the beginning. then was like fuck this, and started playing his edm stuff. He isnt involved as much though in the live edm stuff, so i think live act wise he does more "rock ish" tipe stuff. When they were playing edm all he was doing was jumping all over the place.

Went down the hill, other day
soul got happy and stayed all day
Went in the room, didn't stay long,
looked on the bed and brother was dead

yeah exactly...if you listen to old moby you'd see him switching from Ambient, Electronic, Metal, etc...its just most people didn't know who moby was until he released Play...

His new album is a lot more rockish, hence why I don't like it and also why he played rock stuff on Jay Leno. It's self promotion for his new album. I've already heard two awesome remixes come from tracks off his album though so like I said in my review before it was even released "it has awesome remix potential".
