What's it cost to rent a nice hotel room?

What's it cost to rent a nice hotel room om Toronto? Perhaps something with a hot tub. How much shoud i budget and what hotels should i call? This is for Thursday night. Speaking of which, when are check in/out times? We're gonna arrive after midnight, and would like to stay the whole day after. But what if check-out is at like 2PM? Would i have to pay for 2 days?

The easiest way to find out hotel prices is to go through
www.travelocity.ca
and then do a search after clicking on the "hotels" tab.

Usually hotels have a check out at 12 pm, even though sometimes you can extend it to 2pm. Depending on your schedule, they may be lenient with the check out time, but if you plan on keeping that room beyond 3 pm you might have to pay for that day too.
If you are looking for a nice place downtown, it is going to be over $130/night.

Here are a few sites you can check out in addition to the one above:
www.ichotelsgroup.com
www.accorhotels.com
www.choicehotels.ca
www.starwoodhotels.com
www.fairmont.com
The above 5 sites cover all majour hotel chains from Hotel Intercontinental to Days Inn. But the easiest way is to go through travelocity.

If you are coming after midnight, you should let them them know that it is a late arrival reservation, otherwise your reservation will get cancelled around 8 and they may give the room to someone else if there is a demand. Also, if this not a July 1st long weekend thursday, you may get lucky with the price if you just show up at a hotel. However, if it is the long weekend, then, to make shure you get what you want, it is best to reserve.

Enjoy.

Windsor Arms Hotel - I don't think there's anything else that quite compares in Toronto.

http://www.grandhoteltoronto.com

this is by faaaaaaar the best hotel we've been to! check out their website for exact prizes...of course depending on what you want, but there are rooms with 6ft hottubs.

for the 'cheaper' prices, there's some really nice suites with a kitchenette and a separate chill-out room that are divided by french doors from the actual 'bedroom'; they also have 'mezzanine' suites, which are like little appartments where the bed is on the top floor. there is a really nice indoor pool and also 2 jacuzzis on the rooftop where you are surrounded by the highrises in the heart of TO. super nice!!

oh and most importantly ~ their beds are HEAVEN!

good luck!

Are you looking for just a nice, but plain, suite? There are, of course, hotels like fairmont and the hilton and such, but there are some AWESOME boutique hotels like SoHo Metropolitan, Pantages and le germain that (IMO) far exceed the chain hotels.

and yes, you'd have to pay for two days.

Again Windsor Arms Hotel. It's where all the biggest celebrities who come to Toronto stay (J-Lo, Harrison Ford etc...) Definitely the nicest of the bunch I've been to (including SoHo, 4 seasons, Park Hyatt Suites, Fairmont).

IMHO the SoHo Metropolitan (not the metro, the actual SOHO) directly under the SOHO condos is one of the nicest for the money you spend. You have a glass shower, soaker tub, plazma TV, modern styling, and plenty of other useless features.

www.metropolitan.com/soho I think
