This isn't the new model. This is last years model. It's practically brand new. I've used it about 5 times since I bought it. I thought I would get a lot of use out of it, but I was wrong. they are really good mp3 players i like it as much as my ipod i had one till i dropped a 100 lb wieght on it at the gym.. very easy to navigate only downfall is its pretty bulky
