cartridges

Hey guys,

I was wondering if I could get some recommendations on some good cartridges.

I'm looking for something that gives me reliable tracking, but also preserves my vinyl. I've read that Elliptical Stylus damage the vinyl less than Spherical ones, yet do not provide as much tracking power.

Here are the two cartridges I'm looking at right now:

- Stanton 680 EL II
Stylus Tip: Elliptical .3 x .7 mil Special High Polish
Tracking Force: 2 to 5 grams

- Stanton 680 HiFi
Stylus Tip: Elliptical 0.3 x 0.7 mil Super High Polish
Tracking Force: 0.75 to 1.5 grams

Is it going to far if I go with an Audiophile Cartridges? 1.5g Tracking force is definitely not enough... right??

whitelabels or m44-g. I actually switched from whitelabels to m44gs b/c they seem easier on vinyl and they track really well for scratching, and sound quality is still pretty good.

sorry if this seems dumb but does the m44-g connect directly onto the tonearm or do you need to buy a headshell or does it come with one?

with the m44g you need a headshell. There just like the m44-7 except sound better.
