I'm probably getting an extra harddisk for the OS..

HDD2: Western Digital 74GB Raptor SATA - 10.000RPM, 4.5ms, 8MB cache, 150Mbps..

But is it worth it?

That's a nice setup, daddy. I could use the faster CPU in my bitch. I recommend expanding your musical resources like sample cd's and VSTs and such, or buy the software you downloaded.

If you have the means, get yourself some accoustic treatment for your control room/ bedroom. I'm working with a friend right now to make some basstraps from scratch and doing both our studios treatment. I love the feel decent accoustics gives to a room, i could/can produce all day.

Get a second hard drive for audio..alone. one drive windows, and all your appz and stuff, second hard drive audio projects, makes a dieffereance, plus you have a place for your backups..

maybe its just me, but how are u getting this for so cheap? i dont know how good those LCD screens are, but 19 inch ones tend to cost a LOT more then you seem to be paying (then again i live in australia, we get rather raped when it comes to pricing)

p.s something you NEEEEEDDDD to let us know is what EXACTLY is the type of RAM you're getting? this is very important!!! let us know before you buy it

wow, thats sweet. my setup is pretty similar to that, except you're computer specs kick the shit out of mine. i like my monitors better though, i'm using the Event tr-6's, and let me tell you they're a joy to work with, crystal clear sound, you can hear everything good or bad to do a really good mix. (being fair, i haven't heard the ones you suggested, but i'm bassing it on specs for now)

i might also suggest going 5 octaves on the midi controller, depends on your style of producing, but as a musician myself, i like having the 5 octaves, and am considering getting an 88 key in the distant future. so far all 88 key controllers feel like utter shit, i'm still waiting for one to at least feel something like a piano. the maudio 88's are by far the worst for feel. if it felt good i'd of baught that board in a second though.
