I liked his last album though (In Search of Sunrise 4). But it seems that Tiesto's time is coming to the end. At this moment, the number one for me is Ferry Corsten.

IMO, Tiesto last time at the docks was good. Not great, but good. This time coming up im expecting better though, we'll see.
Im not a fan of G&D, i saw them DJ once, i wasnt impressed. But i do like their productions.
Last time i saw Armin in TO, he was shit IMO. Last time i saw Ferry it was boring, so much filler that i left early (although the end was pretty good, or so i was told).
Im a harsh judge. Tiesto Armin & Ferry are my fav Djs, but I still think Tiesto owns them all. Just remember all DJs have their on and off nights.

have to agree. although I have never been to a real good show by Tiesto. his track selection bores me, and hes not all that technically sound, but hey........ hes the worlds best.
And yes, Armin blew that night at koolhaus, Nathan Barato was the only one that had me going that night. I think he's TO's best DJ (barato). I goto zone on occasion and systems ect. and I have never had a bad night with Barato at the decks.

The one real good show by Tiesto was @ Club Space during WMC 2005 in Miami. He really made the crowd went nuts. However, his performance @ UMF 7 was not that great, he mostly played his old tracks ("Traffic" was there as usual). What's up with "Traffic" track? It seems that the dude plays this track at every show. I've been three times at Tiesto's shows and all three times he played this track.

This is old news but i'm new to the site.
I caught Tiesto at the Docks the last time he was here, and I was VERY dissapointed. His set was sub-par and his trance sound is getting old. The main reason I was appauled was by the overwhleming number of mainstreamers. Is it just me or has Tiesto become an icon for "Ginos" since he hit the radio with "Traffic"?? I've lost interest in Tiesto and G&D are now my number one till further notice.
Your thoughts please |
Have you lost interest just because he's mainstream? So what if you didn't enjoy one of his sets. The man plays 100 plus gigs a year, everyone is not going to like all off his sets. I am a huge fan of Tiesto, but there are even some sets I don't much care for.
Hating on Tiesto itself has become so popular that it is now not cool to hate on Tiesto because it's the "mainstream" thing to do. THIS TOPIC HAS BEEN BEAT TO DEATH! See hundreds of other threads, please. Find someone else to hate on. Would you stop liking G&D if they became popular? Probably, and that's said. Who gives a shit whoe else likes the music you do? As long as you like it, that's all that matters. THINK FOR YOURSELF!
I have not heard G&D live, but they have some amazing tracks, as does Andain and Motorcycle. I have yet to see Armin either, so I cannot judge his performance.

I agree that PVD is mad that he is not the number one. And honestly, I think that his music not as good as Tiesto's. Definately, PVD has some good tracks but overall he, in my opinion, does not deserve to be even the second DJ in the world. I think that DJ's such as Armin Van Buuren and Ferry Corsten are much better in their music and in their shows than PVD.
And who is G&D?
