I as well as MILLIONS can't wait for these movies to come out...
I am a hard core fantasy fanatic and I love to play RPG's on my PC
I bought the books last summer and before that I never even knew about Lord Of The Rings.
I decided to look up the author to see if he is any good and to my surprise I stumbled upon the website for the movies...boy was I exited
also I never knew until then that the books have been around for so long
Im my opinion these films will all destroy the previous record for gross money made in the theatres.. I myself will go see it atleast 3 times.
I think the main reason for its success will be that it has been a part of atleast 3 generations maybe more.
So for those of you that have no idea about the movies....
go to www.theonering.net and see for yourself
as for me I can finally count the days till its release
Its just a shame they all don't come out at the same time because they were all filmed together in beautiful New Zeland
Oh well more suspense
Later TA's

yep, its an amazing trilogy and sure to make some incredible movies... i'm kinda glad they're not all coming out at the same time though. once the first movie comes out, i think alot more people will be interested in reading the books, so it will give them some time to get through them. which other tolkien books have you read? not sure if you guys have seen this site yet, but its pretty cool... www.lordoftherings.net (you can get the trailer there too)
9 more days...

hi
I am currently finishing reading the last of the trilogy and I also managed to read the hobbit prior to starting with the lord of the rings
you are right about that its good they don't all come out at the same time its just that it would give me something to do for the holidays
I would go once a week for all 3 movies hehe
I saw other threads about this , which I didn't see until I posted this one so sorry to those individuals
what other books should I read
I know there is like 12 middle earth books
are they worth the read and collecting them all ?

well i got the official film book of LotR, and i can tell you they put SOOOOOO MUCH EFFORT in the movie it's just unbelieveble.. the work they have done to make everything look authentic etc.. hobbiton was created a year before shooting the movie.. they builded the village and planted plants etc and let it stand there for a year so that it wouldn't look like the village whas jst build a couple of days before filming the sets in hobbiton etc.. and people like aragorn and legolas had to learn elfish.. and each character had doubles, hobbits and dwarfs had smaller "dublicats", and aragorn and legolas bigger ones.. and each main character had about 20 suits (+ 20 each for the dublicats..) .. they also included allen lee and james howe in the project (they made the pictures in the later LotR books).. i you have the chance to buy this book, BUY it.. it's really a fun book to read and gives you a lot of info about the making if the three movies.. i read the hobbit and lord of the rings all twice.. and i simply can't wait to see the movies!!!!
