I'm 100% sure that's incorrect.
Yum brands does own pizza hut, taco bell and kfc, but not pepsico.
Pepsi, at one point in the past (say 10 or so years ago) had owned kfc, pizza hut, etc; but sold the businesses and the offshoot was later fromed into yum brands. Pepsico (as the parent company is now referred to) does own a lot of shit, but pizza hut isn't one of them. They do own frito lay, tropicana, gatorade, and Quaker foods.
And, there is absolutely, no basis whatsoever to your point that this is in any way shape or form a monopoly. How many pizza places are there near you? I highly doubt the are only pizza huts. Same goes for KFC, pepsi, orange juice etc.. Have you only one choice for fried chicken? ? ? None of these are even close to possessing any monopolistic characeteristics. Time to re-read some economics books and then make a re-post to try any cover your ass.
