Produced my first track. I've been listening for so long that I think its time for me to give something back.

So without further avail here we go. Most people would say be kind, but I say do your worst. Without constructive critisism no one would ever get better.

I hope you like it

Well okay...so it's your first track. First off, good first attempt...I know its tuffer than you thought right!? Remember thinking how easy it would be!? LOL

Now, so that you don't think I'm a complete unfeeling jerk, I gotta say that musically this is really excellent. Some awesome melodies and counter themes being contrasted. Thats what I really like to hear!

DOnt know what you're using to produce, but this synths are weak. They mostly sound like all free VST's or worse... GENERAL MIDI soundbanks!!
There's no FX like reverb or echo/delay on any of your leads. The bass kick is NON-existent. But mixing and mastering are another thing...dont even worry about that for some time....if this is your first then it's gonna be awhile until you even have a clue where to begin mastering/mixing.

So in general I'm not gonna touch you on the mixing issues...just focus on the synth selection and try incorporating some thicker use of FX like reverb, panning, stereo placement, tap delays, etc. These things mean all the difference in your sound and IMO are more important than even your synth selection. (Fact is, I mostly dont tweak presets...I tweak the FX that are chained to them!!). Definitely look at getting the free Luxonic LFX-1310 FX plugin HERE!
Your definitely gonna love that plugin, its amazingly powerful!

Keep at it man! Will be watching the boards for more!

I agree with what the previous guys said. Musically it's alright. It's just that your synths and instruments sound really bad. You need to spend some time looking for sounds and learning how to tweak with them. Learning about equalizing could help you alot in that aspect (I know it changed my sound drastically when I did). Don't worry about it though, I sounded ten times worse when I started. You got the hard part figured out. The rest is just a matter of time and practice. So good luck with that
