when you see the symbol '#', what do you say ??

i was wondering that .. i was talking with the boss, and i was mentioning 'c "sharp"', but accidentally said 'c "pound"', because i visualize the language as 'c#', you know .. my boss looked confused, and i was confused ?? ...

i used to play the piano when i was younger, and i was taught #=sharp of course .. then when the evolution of cell phones came out, my brain got stuck on the word "pound" ..

so what do you say .. "sharp" or "pound" ??







oh yeah .. instead of saying "pound the a$s", can we say "# the ass" ??

In the US:
# in regular type is always a pound, or a number sign, etc.

In music, however, its a sharp symbol.
