title is pretty ballzy if you ask me
listening...
to be honest, i only listened to this becuase its called "flawless" and if anyone has the balls to name their own set flawless, it better be pretty damn flawless.
general programming and progression of this set which werent really my style even though the tracks were pretty good. that is a matter of opinion.
still the beatmatching technique is not flawless. i could hear beats off on just about every mix, along with some phasing problems. alot of the tracks that were mixed also clashed harmonically.
i will say though that you did a good job timing your mixes, there werent any major phrasing problems and each track in your mixes progressed well together. also your gains were pretty even with a good peak in volume towards the end, and then coming back down. that is often the hardest thing to master imo.
there was some subtle progression that i could hear, sometimes you let the energy drop by letting a track play out to the end beats but that could have been done on purpose... as a break which makes sense to me.
i would also personally stay away from having too many tracks that have that "epic" breakdown in the middle. to me it gets alittle too monotonous and predicatble. but again thats a matter of opinion and style.
technically the recording sounds decent, there were some flaws that i could hear in the equipment that you used... for example, around 58 mins when you are mixing in the other track.. it sounds like your tonearm connection to the cartridge was loose, or you were moving around a jack or something. other than that the overall sound was pretty warm and fluid.
it was a good mix, and you did a good job, but i would be careful to lable something as being flawless.
