If there's really something wrong, I bet it's with your sense of smell, not your taste.
I'm an avid cyclist and I do a lot of bike racing. This April a dumbass stepped in front of my bike after a training ride for a race and I hit him (he was unhurt of course) and I fell, hitting my head on the pavement which fractured my skull and caused some bleeding on my brain. I was in the hospital for a couple weeks, but I've made for the most part a full recovery. The only effect I'm still experiencing is my smell is totally messed up, and my taste along with it. Things taste like complete crap and I really only have one "smell" which is one I think to be worse than crap. I can't tell you how much is sucks for everything to smell and taste like utter shit.
I hope your problem corrects itself as I'm praying that mine does too.
Good luck, as if there is really a problem with your smell/taste, there's really not a whole heck of a lot you can do about it.
