Offbeat techno

Sets, tracks, albums, recommend away. For those who wonder what offbeat techno is, voila: http://mp3.juno.co.uk/MP3/SF170639-01-01-01.mp3

Don't listen to it much, but perhaps you can try:

DJ Preach - Stars
some stuff from Inigo Kennedy
some stuff from Oliver Ho
maybe a few things from Regis
I also think Petar Dundov spins it in his sets

Tetsuo is a trance label as far as I know, which is not what I'm looking for. Are you thinking of any particular release(s)?

sorry I'd have to get back to you on that, my friend has a few of their records that sound just like that sample. I enjoy that sound too.

Well, for a good introduction, try this mixcd by Rumenige & Loktibrada: http://www.discogs.com/release/239803. Part 3 on this 12" by Oliver Ho is also wicked: http://www.discogs.com/release/445475.

Especially Mimi - Anus Dei (12-05-05) is a lovely set. Grovskopa - Re-emerging is wicked as well.

As for tracks, I am totally digging the somewhat more minimal (as opposed to full-on madness) tracks, for examples, see my signature. They might not all be offbeat by definition, but they fit the style perfectly.

Also: Female - Serverlan A1 [SANDWELL DISTRICT 003] is great.

Upcoming releases that have my attention:

Grovskopa - Luscious Apparatus (WarmUp WU015)
Pehr Herb - TBA (Vajer VAJ004)

Samples at http://grovskopa.com (click on the forehead for the discography part)

I'll sort you out with some more if I can find a bit of time to look into it.

Surgeon - At The Heart Of It All (Parts 1+2)

Like this thread shows, I don't believe any one producer makes only offbeat techno or that even any one DJ plays only offbeat techno. Most techno producers have made at least one offbeat techno track though right? Or no.

Not only will I do it...I...I...I...yes yes i'll do it.
