trance gate vst
Hi there, I have ableton and id like to get a vst plugin that has something like a 16 or 32 step gating format. Anyone know a good one, or is there someway to do this in live with the built in single gate effect? Im just used to the way of gating in Reason so maybe im missing something. Thanks
i dont like mgtriggergate, with fast attack it has a ugly click noise which shouldnt be there...

Vanguard is awesome, but scuzzphut is free. It works but it takes up way too much cpu, you would probably have to work with that last. Vanguard takes very little cpu.

dude if cpu is a problem, try getting the sound u want with the effect then exporting just the sound, and re-inserting it as a wav sample, takes a bit of time but it does make work alot easier most the time

Yea definatly an option. My advice regarding FX is leave them till last, then you can get them exactly how you need them before you export them. This is best because you can't exactly remove fx like reverb once you've exported it to .wav, it's a pain when you export it then have to redo it because it doesn't fit the track later on.

also try what techorz said, because its true sometimes u export a synth sound & it dont match the track later on and u cant tweak a recorded wav file can ya , also depends what software ur using, some sequencers allow u 2 turn off instruments and play the track nice n clean!
