Yeaaa I so freakin' agree with you. If the movie would've stopped 15 mins before it ended, before they went to Boston, man, it woulda been one of my top fave alien sci-fi's... but whack the HECK! I think you're right... I want to see it again, but that ending is just, ahhh!!! Man, lol, everything you said is so true! I was on the edge of my seat too, so tense... all I wanted to do is find out how the heck they're gunna kill them, what they're gunna do! When he gets on that hill near the end, I'm like, holy hell, the world is fuckin' dead, how are they gunna bring it back and save themselves...?!? but then that crappy ending came along bah... anyway!!

lol.. never read the book, so i can't say... but I thnk Tom Cruise did an amazing job acting... you hated him (for being such a careless jackass to the kids) but then you loved him for being so brave and eventually falling in such love with them (and caring for them). meh

I may be the first to say but i personally thought the movie was terrible. Spielbergs worst film IMO.

There was action, yes, but there was no real story behind it. I was very disappointed.
