crossing over the digital divide

yes, this topic's been done more than the only hooker in town on payday, but after watching james zabiela mix a few times, i'm REALLY tempted to dump my trusty technics and cdj100s for a pair of (lighter) digital tt's and an efx pad.

problem is, i did spend a lot of time and money on my vinyl collection, (heck, i just ordered more vinyls this week) so it doesn't seem right to just go splurge on a whim...

then again, i hate lugging crates of vinyl around, along with heavy-ass roadcases...

but vinyls sound so much warmer and i have more control with it...

but i don't have to wait a week on digital like i have to when i order vinyls... arghhhh!

as you can tell, i'm torn and i'd like to weigh in on the experiences from those who converted or reverted or vice versa before i go through with this.

SSL = your friend.

Keep your TTs and vinyls, AND get digital downloads to play.

SSL is a good way to go, but requires a laptop. you could also keep 1 deck, and use it to rip your vinyl, or spin the new tracks you've not yet ripped.
