I can't understand...the melody of his seven remix (Cygnus X, Push ecc...) are completely different from the original. Why? I can't find one element in common...I'm stupid?

Cygnus X originally remixed this tune back in 1998, and all the remixes made after that are based on the Cygnus X remix and not on the original. Aloep would know more about this I think....

Exactly that i think. Therefore, for example, Push remix is in truth a "remix of a remix"?

I dunno why the Cygnus X duo made the remix to be so different from the original in the first place.. it's by far the best of the remixes anyway. I can't find much resemblance either but who cares. If a remix is good it can be as much different as it "wants". Ferry's mix is remixwise a rather poor effort, just some minor changes to a few things to give it the Ferry sound and nothing else, nothing new.
It's pretty much the same situation with Ayla - Ayla; all the remixes are based on Taucher remix and not the original which is very different (and forgotten thanks to the massive load of remixes of a remix) from Taucher's view.. ..except for Mo & Skinny remix which is the only remix based on Original Mix. Even Tandu/Ayla himself remixed the track basing it on Taucher's remix instead of the original.

wasnt Ayla based on Cosmic Babies track anyway?
No, you're mixing it up with Liebe which was a remake of a Cosmic Baby track with the same name. I'm not sure if Ayla bases directly to any track but it has huge similarities in sounds and melodies with some 4 Voice (aka Pete Namlook, who also did 4 Voice - Eternal Spirit on which Kay Cee - Escape is a remake of) productions from the early 90s.

i havn't heard anything from Namlook's 4 Voice alias. does it have a steady beat? im really only familier with his "drones"...

Under his 4 Voice alias he has done some laid back stuff, moody trance and also a bit harder edged trance which Eternal Spirit is like, old skool style of course. Think of Brainchild - Symmetry (C-Mix)/Symmetry C and add a little unpolished roughness to it.

While we're on the subject of Cosmic Baby and remixes of remixes, I really hope the next volley of Cafe del Mar cuts (should they happen) work from the Cosmic Baby Impression rather than the Three n' One. Still so much potential to make the classic even more lasting and celebrated.
