Audiophile USB problem
Right, so I decided I want to start rcording mixes, so I buy the M-Audio Audiophile USB as the external soundcard. Everything is working fine about the program. So, I decided to test the output on both my headphones and my speakers(not my computer speakers). All of those components work and the sounds from the outputs are working just fine. I used music from my computer to play on the outputs.
So I decide to go ahead and hook up my mixer to the input. Both the output and input plugs I am using are the analog plug-ins. The input is recieved from the booth output on my mixer (Beringer VMX 300). On my computer, I have both Audacity and Ableton set up as the software for recoding. I played a record on my tables, and I got no sound from my speakers, so I changed the plugs from Booth output to Amp output and still no sound. Then I did it again to tape output and still no sound.
This is where I am stuck. I am not what you call computer savvy, so keep that in mind as well.
So, my queation would be how do i get the sound from my mixer to the Audiophile and from there, how would I set it up to start recording??
Punch and Pie to anyone who helps out.
